*** UPDATE *** GIRT is going to be retired from the ToeJaM Racing team. Tim has decided to focus on Road Racing. GIRT has been a GREAT Rally Car. Finished every event entered in 2004 while competing in the Eastern States Rally Championship (NASA) -- Took 2nd in year-end points. Only entered SandBlast in 2005-DNF. In 2006 only entered Seed 9 - 1st place, Production. Entered Seed 9 in 2007 -- 1st place Production, 7th overall. Time for someone else to compete with GIRT...

--SOLD-- GIRT was sold to a fellow in New Jersey. This is where GIRT grew up, so it's fitting that GIRT goes back home for some more fun.

GIRT's Specifications:

- 1988 VW Golf GT with 125,000 miles

- 1.8L / 8 valve motor, stock with G cam, stock exhaust manifold. Stock Digifant FI. Factory rated at 105 HP at the flywheel.

- Stock catalytic converter and muffler (GIRT's really quiet!)

- Stock 5-speed 020 transmission with a Quaife & 3.94 drive (should probably go higher)

- 8 point rollcage constructed by Tim Meyer 1.5 dia x .12 wall DOM

- Stock suspension with Bilsteins (P30-0102 Front & B36-0654 Rear)

- Front coilovers 280# by 12". Rear coilovers 220# by 12"

- Stock fuel pump relocated to wheel well & plumbed internally with braided stainless.

- Stock brakes with braided stainless & Hawk blues up front. Stock rear brakes.

- Rear brake lines routed through passenger compartment

- Steel skid plate up front with custom mounting.

- Lighting with Hella Spot, Driving, & Fog Lights

- Recaro Racing seats with Sparco 5 point harness

- Terratrip 303 computer

- Terratrip intercom

- First aid kit, 3 triangles, 2 spare tires, emergency tool kit, tow strap, & come-along.

- Tires are 188-65/14 Kuhmos R700 for all dirt. Toyo's for tarmac.

- All fabrication & preparation work performed by Tim Meyer
