NIC's color is called Maraschino Red Metalic (code LY3V). It's probably unlikely, I'll find a rustoleum that's a close match..
Rolling NIC into the shed. The motor & transaxle have already been removed. Time to start stripping everything out and build a rollcage.
We're gonna have a little bit of bodywork on the right rear corner.
At the end of day three, we have the main hoop fabricated. Most of the tar-gunk removed. Safety belt mountings installed. Pop-up light cover mountings fabricated. Toe-hooks installed at all corners. Hood & hatch latches re-routed.
NIC's cage is complete. Time to move all the stuff from PETE over to NIC. Now it's just nuts and bolts to get NIC ready to race. We even did body repair (race car quality) to the RR corner.
We left the engine, torque tube, and transaxle assembled when we pulled from PETE. The entire assembly is going into NIC. It's easy when you can just drop down the chassis onto the assembly and then hold in place with four bolts.
