January 22, 2006 -- LVR SCCA Autocross: GUS & Tim took home a win in FSP
February 11 & 12, 2006 -- AZ Region SCCA Club Racing at Firebird Main Track in Phoenix. GUS & Tim bring home two ITB checkerered flags to Las Vegas. Saturday Race Results. 06-RS-01-P 1:14.802. Sunday Race Results 06-RS-03-P 1:14.375 (Group 3)
February 19, 2006 -- LVR SCCA Autocross: GUS & Tim bring home another 1st place in FSP.

March 25, 2006 -- MINI event @ LVMS: Tim and Gene Rolfe from LVR SCCA went out to the Phil Wicks MINI school and instructed performance driving at the LVMS infield track (1.1 miles & 9 turns). They also ran a 18 lap race against the MINIs. (Actually gave them a 20 second head start.) Tim & GUS caught one MINI and couldn't quite pass another before the end of the race.
March 26, 2006 -- LVR SCCA Autocross at LVMS: Tim & GUS went out and brought home another win in FSP. Tried out the Hoosier autocross tire ASO5s and was very impressed on how well they worked.
April 1 & 2, 2006 -- AZ Region SCCA Club Racing at PIR: Tim & GUS brought home two 2nd place trophies from Phoenix International Raceway. Saturday 06-RS-04-P 1:18.192. Sunday 06-RS-05-P 1:17.300. Unfortunately, it was somewhat frustrating as both days we were in 1st place and GUS just didn't have the motor to stay in front. Probably the last weekend for GUS until a new motor gets built.
May 6 & 7, 2006 -- CSCC SCCA Club Racing @ Buttonwillow: Tim & SID went to Buttonwillow for the CSCC double regional. We took 3rd both days; SID ran as hard as he could. Tim & SID could run through the corners faster than the other two ITB Golfs that took 1st and 2nd, but on the straights, they would just walk away. On Sunday about half way through Tim stuck SID in 3rd gear, ruining the transmission. We limped through and held onto our 3rd position. Looks like SID needs some work as well.
May 27 & 28, 2006 -- LVR SCCA Autocross @ Hawthorne, NV: Tim & GUS autocrossed at the Hawthorne, NV airport over two days. Even though GUS is tired, he pulled out wins in FSP on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately Las Vegas did not beat Reno in this annual run-off. These wins put Tim & GUS solidly in 1st place for LVR autocross points in FSP.
June 11, 2006 -- LVR SCCA Autocross @ Boulder PD: Tim & GUS brought home another win in FSP. They also were 10th in PAX for the event. The course was wide open, a lot like a road course, so it fit GUS's legs just fine.
July 8, 2006 -- LVR SCCA Autocross @ night Sam Boyd
-- We're gonna try out NERO in ES for a change. Well NERO didn't do so well. Old, hard tires, worn out shocks, and 175k miles didn't make a great combination. I think we finished in 4th in ES and 70 of 90 in PAX. NERO had the power, could not put it to the ground. It was fun driving a rear wheel drive car, hanging out the back, feathering the throttle.
September 10, 2006 -- Took out GUS again at the BCPD lot. GUS performed well again, caputing another First Place in FSP. Looks like Tim & GUS have the FSP autocross championship just about wrapped up
September 16 & 17, 2006 -- PDS @ Spring Mountain -- Took PETE out for some testing. Found a few issues. The most annoying problem was the brand new SPEC clutch broke after about 10 minutes of track time. Had to match RPMs and shift carefully to finish the day.
September 30 & October 1, 2006 -- Club Racing AZ SCCA @ Firebird -- PETE went through his growing pains again this weekend... We qualified 3rd for the Saturday race. We were in 2nd for a short while. Then on lap 5 PETE decided to blow a head gasket. Darn, a new motor just out of the box. Tore it down at the track and found a head bolt that is pulling out of the block. Well, time to do a tear down and get it to the machine shop.
October 1, 2006 -- Trevore went to Bluefield, WV at the Mercer County Airport, about 60 miles from Blacksburg to try his hand at autocross. His video can be found here. Trevore took 1st place novice honors for his initial autocross. His next autocross will be in Las Vegas on November 19.
October 28, 2006 -- Tim and GUS went to the LVR SCCA autocross at Nellis Air Force Base in NE Las Vegas. They brought home another win in FSP; this continues their undefeated position in FSP for the Las Vegas region despite GUS not being set up for autocross and running with a tired motor. They also secured 15th overall in PAX
November 19, 2006 -- Tim, Trevore & GUS went to the SCCA autocross at LVMS. Tim took 1st in FSP and 18th in PAX. Trevore took 2nd in FSP and 47th in PAX. 115 cars entered the event, so Trevore made a great showing finishing in the top half of the overall drivers. This event fairly well secures Tim's 1st place for the FSP class year championship. GUS was never beat on the autocross course.
December 2 - 3, 2006 -- AZ SCCA Club Racing @ PIR -- This was PETE's first full weekend of roadracing. This was the 2nd weekend at PIR for Tim, first for PETE. On Saturday, we qualified 5th and finished 5th out of 18 cars in the Spec-944 class. This was after we had illegal ride-height issues with a new set of tires. Sunday was a ton of fun. The top six Spec-944 cars qualified within 0.20 seconds of each other. During the race, the top six cars had fast lap times within 0.15 seconds of each other. Anyone who made a mistake went backwards. Tim & PETE qualified in 4th and finished in 4th for the race. Overall, we're very happy with this effort as this was really PETE's first full weekend of racing on a new motor.
December 10, 2006 -- LVR-SCCA autocross at Boulder City -- Took PETE to his first autocross. Used the day to test a new Quaife differential and modifications to sway bars. PETE & Tim took home 1st place honors in FP. (Not a lot of competition, however.)
